Oksana Masiutkina is a Ukrainian artist who arrived in the UK in July 2022 because Russians had occupied her home city Nova Kakhovka on the 24 of February 2022. She was happy to leave the occupation at the beginning of April with a hand suitcase and documents, leaving everything she had.
She was admired by the arts all her life. She drew and painted from childhood. She started studying at an Art school when she was 7 years old and has an honours diploma degree. Her paintings and engravings were presented at that time at local exhibitions in the Soviet Union, the Czechoslovak Republic, etc. In 1988 she was working as a volunteer teaching Art to students.
After graduating from school in 1991, she began her new life during the collapse of the Soviet Union. In these hard times of devastation, it was very complicated to navigate a life because everything that she learned no longer worked. The world had been created anew. Through very difficult trials. Nobody mentioned drawing. Everyone survived as best they could.
Oksana built a very successful career as an engineer at the enterprises, then created a successful business in a cosmetic company, and worked as a life coach. In February 2020, she began her practice as an energy therapist...
