Elena Kovalenko

Elena Kovalenko is an contemporary artist, graphic designer, film production designer and living in Almaty, Qazaqstan. Her works – joyful, bright, colourful painting and drawings .
Born in Almaty in 1988.
After graduating from school in Almaty, she went to Saint-Petersburg, where she received a higher education in engineering.
After university she worked as a textile artist, and also worked in the film industry for many years as an assistant to a production designer. I drew posters, selected props, and drew designs.
I started traveling in search of new experiences. I hitchhiked and rode a motorcycle a lot. Traveled to Kazakhstan, Russia, China and Southeast Asia, India, Turkey. During my travels I never parted with my paints.
Sensations, emotions and a different view of the world, accumulated during travel, are reflected in Elena’s paintings.
The calling card of the young artist is the brightness of colors, rich colors, and special attention to detail.Fascinated by the ideas of surrealism, she creates works filled with scenes from the world of fantasy, dreams, subconscious associations; they are filled with many objects, each of which carries meaning.
