Bohdana Tatarenko

In my artistic practice, I work with painting, using texture, textiles, and other tactile materials to express emotional experiences and reflections in an expressive form. The dominant elements in my approach to conveying meaning are color, texture, and symbolic imagery. I explore the theme of identity — how it is formed, what influences it, and how it changes under the impact of internal and external factors.

Related themes — memory, social patterns, interpersonal interaction, and emotional upheavals — are viewed as factors that directly affect the formation of identity.

My work is, above all, a reaction and a visualization of a thought that arises in a particular moment and becomes infused with symbols and images that hold personal significance. My projects are grounded in personal experiences and observations, engaging both intimate and collective narratives.
