I was born the son of a poor merchant in Korea and grew up to be a painter. I became a disabled person with national merit due to a neck injury while serving in the Korean military, but I did not give up my dream of painting. My paintings mainly depict the importance of family and the importance of everyday life. I endured the pain of falling down several times while painting due to my disability, but I insisted on a realistic painting style. My paintings are a message for the future to my family, especially my son.
