Paul Distefano

I am a Painter illustrator base in the U.K. I focus on the figure, though I also love telling stories with my art. I am passionate about film, and I think that is reflected in my work. I always aim to achieve images of great impact, as though my subject was filmed and I simply extract the single most dramatic frame from that moment. I am heavily influenced by artists like Kim Jun Gi, Steve Huston, Moebius, Rembrandt, and the Michelangelo. I work in various mediums. I hope my art reflects a passion for life that others can take meaning from.

I am primarily self taught. I studied formally at the New Masters Academy, before taking an apprenticeship with Steve Huston. I have studied the work of George Bridgman, Andrew Loomis, and drafstman such as Kim Jung Gi and Scott Robertson.
