I was born in Lisbon and from an early age I became a creator, a creator in the sense of maker. Since I was a child, I have been playing and developing carpentry and metalwork pieces, always with the support of design as a tool for ideation. Later I worked with clay and as a teenager I began professional training as a stone sculptor. Sculpture has become my preferred medium, even when I wear the guise of an architect.

I love areas of knowledge that mix traditional techniques with new technologies. Perhaps that's why I became interested in architecture, an activity that now takes up a large part of my time as a professional.

I am passionate about creating spaces and experiences, about inclusion in art and architecture, or pieces that can make the public question the surrounding reality.
I like what is tactile.
Furthermore, I am also passionate about science, culture, sociology, anthropology, mythology and philosophy.

In 2012 I moved to London, where I developed work in sculpture and artistic installations for 5 years, in retail for brands such as Mulberry, Adidas, Victoria Secrets, Ted Baker, House of Fraiser, or others in spaces like Harrods, and Selfridges, having also developed work that had international exposure, in New York...

I’ve studied stone sculpture in the Sintra quarries and at the International Sculpture Center from 1998 to 2007. Later did a one-year professional internship in 2009, working on my own pieces and developing work for other artists.

Also studied architecture in Lisbon at ISCTE, between 2000 and 2007, having joined the Portuguese Professional Order of Architects in 2010.

I participated in collective exhibitions of which I highlight, the exhibition of “the boy, the tiger and the owl” a limestone piece, at Casa do Sousa Martins in Alhandra, and the Public Art exhibition in the Historic Center of Sintra with “Dryad”, a large scale sculpture in white Carrara marble.

In 2024, I launched the Iris project, curated by MUSA, the Contemporary Art Museum in Sintra, where I exhibited this work in a dedicated room in the Casa Mantero Palace.

Since then, pieces from this project have also appeared in some exhibitions at The One Art Gallery, in the Center of Lisbon at Palácio da Anunciada.
