**Stéphan Lemay – The Alchemy of Epoxy and Light**

My artistic practice explores the delicate balance between control and surrender through an innovative dialogue with epoxy resin and aluminum. Each piece begins as a carefully calculated experiment yet evolves into something far more profound – a captured moment where physics and poetry collide.

Working with industrial materials, I transform cold aluminum panels into shimmering canvases that both reflect and absorb light. The epoxy resin becomes my liquid collaborator – its viscosity precisely tuned, its pigments engineered to react in specific ways under carefully controlled conditions. Yet for all this preparation, the true magic emerges in the moment of surrender, when I allow gravity to guide the material into its final form.

The signature spirals that characterize my work are more than aesthetic choices. They represent a fundamental language of the universe – patterns we recognize in galaxies, hurricanes, and the very structure of our DNA. By freezing these dynamic forms in resin, I create works that exist in a state of permanent becoming, where the eye can trace the history of their creation in each preserved ripple and swirl.
