Olive Soerjanto

My name is Olive Soerjanto, and I am an artist specializing in realism. I work mainly with acrylic on canvas, though I am still exploring other mediums as part of my artistic growth.

I discovered painting when I was 12 years old, and it has been part of my life for over 11 years. My relationship with art has gone back and forth, especially as I needed to focus on medical school. Now, I’ve found balance—devoting my spare time to painting again.

For me, painting is a way to find calm in the middle of a busy life. I take quiet time to reflect on my emotions and translate them into landscapes—scenes that carry not only the beauty of nature, but also pieces of my own emotion and soul.

Over the years, I have submitted my art into competitions such as UOB Painting of the Year, and I was fortunate to win several painting contests during my high school and university years. Today, I continue to paint as both a personal journey and a way to share with others the beauty that painting brings into my life.
