Krithika Balasubramaniam

Krithika Balasubramaniam’s zealousness towards art is deep rooted. Hailing from the bustling metropolis of Mumbai, India, she has found peace in her art amidst the cacophony of this city. Mumbai as a city has a lot of inspiration at offer. With her surroundings playing the role of her muse she embarked upon her artistic journey early on in life. The duality of talent and passion built her confidence as an artist and prompted her to change course by enrolling in the Rachna Sansad Institute where she earned a Diploma in Fine Arts with a distinction. Today as an avid traveller she draws her artistic stimulus from the alluring parts of the globe she travels to. Proficient in classical drawing, painting and portraiture she is also drawn towards non-representational art, abstract expressionism and traditional Indian art forms like Thanjavur and Warli paintings. Krithika, relishes painting landscapes which are an ode to the romanticism movement given the emphasis on natural beauty in them. Inherently versatile as an artist, Krithika possesses an expansive perspective.
