I started painting on garage sale and thrift store paintings a few years ago which started me down the path of being an artist, which I hadn't thought of myself as since I was a kid. What I love about my altered thrift store paintings is that it puts meaning back into something that had become meaningless. Most of these paintings filled your middle class homes in the 50's, 60's, and 70's bringing high classiness to the masses. Now they seem old, outdated, and with no meaning anymore. I wanted to re imagine these paintings to give you the feel of something memorable to you. Though I loved art, I never thought of the paintings in my parents house as being art. They were decorations and they deserve to be more. Adding fun things like robots, monsters, ghosts, and pop culture to them gives them life again. I hope you enjoy their new life.
