My art work really came to me as an unexpected blessing. It was the down turn of the economy and the diagnosis of my wife with severe fybromyalga that made me one night pick up a pencil and paper and start sketching crosses just to find an escape. I eventually started painting and as my walk with Christ became stronger, so did my art.
Spending the past few years painting the cross, learning and developing as an artist, has allowed me now to take my art in the direction of real life emotions that we feel and go thru. I had the honor of being asked to do a large painting for Living Room International, named 'Hope Defined' which is now hanging in there hospice in Kenya. Knowing these people are dying, I never felt Gods presence more than when he guided me thru the painting of telling their story and knowing that this painting may bring a sense of hope, comfort and peace for many who are in there last days. It was a turning point for me after completing this piece that I feel God is leading me to create art thru the struggles and blessings we experience in our lives.
