Hendrik Gericke

Born 29 October 1981. Hendrik is a professional fine artist. Born and raised in the Southern Boland near Cape Town he has actively pursued a career in the arts since his first year in high school, exploring several potential avenues ranging form comics, animation and photography before settling on fine art and possibilities in feature film work which he is currently exploring. He has exhibited in his native South Africa on numerous occasions, including a solo show at Salon 91 Contemporary in Cape Town. His work has also been shown in Auckland and New York. I say developing, because I am aware of the organic process of growth each person goes through as new things are experienced and old memories are filed away, to whatever end.
