Christophe Gowans

I trained as a graphic designer (predominantly editorial work; I design mainly for the Guardian in London). It's interesting and rewarding, but the art here is unmediated by other requirements which makes it more mine.

Having said that, with watercolour I consider myself to be the delivery system only. The water, paint, paper and brushes interact in the most wonderful way – determined by nature/physics – and I'm there just to steer and curate.
