I believe that spiritual surrealism and its visualization plays the most important role in my creative life. Within my photography and collage work, I’m interested in capturing microscopic moments, the barely perceptible. I often liken these moments to a drop of water - momentary, elusive, quickly dissolved into the fabric of unconscious existence. If I’m able to capture these moments, seeing them encapsulated within my work, I experience pure bliss. As in poetry, I feel it is important to be guided by my present, to allow my current mood and energy guide the direction of my work. Working in this way is never about letting my mood and energy overpower my concepts and ideas, but to facilitate the capturing of what lies within the concept, what drives my consciousness towards my concepts, what lies beneath.
