Andrea Tivadar

1991 Born in Botiz, Satu Mare, Romania, Andrea Tivadar is a contemporary painter currently living and working in Botiz, Satu Mare. Andrea Tivadar finished her studies at the University of Arts and Design in Cluj Napoca, Romania. Her spectacular large scale canvases are breezy but controlled at the same time. She is inspired by modernist traditions but she already developed her own language. She contrasts the formal elements with exploited, seemingly uncontrolled parts. The paintings encapsulate forms, structures, and vivid colours, leveling our interest into the existential space of virtuality.
She worked as a gallery asistant at Deák Erika Gallery (HU) in 2017 and at Associazione Socio Culturale ProCultura - RoArte di Roma (IT) in 2016.

She holds a Ph.D in Visual Arts, from the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca. In 2013 and 2015, she received her BA and MA from the same University. Andrea also gained additional experience by getting a study scholarship at ÉCOLE EUROPÉENNE SUPÉRIEURE D'ART DE BRETAGNE- Site de Rennes, France (2014).
