CAIRO UNSEEN "Foreign visitors see very little of Cairo's 20 million inhabitants. Life is loud and vibrant in the concrete jungle of the outer-city slums, where Cairo's residents live, love, and die every day, but this all remains invisible to outsiders. What the outside observer sees as chaos is actually a collection of many small, perfect systems; it just takes an eye to see them. 22-year-old Youssef Sayed grew up in Shubra, a suburb of Cairo, and has been working since his teens. He photographs with everything he can get his hands on: a mobile phone, a digital camera, and an analog camera. He uses techniques that were already outdated when he was born to paint Cairo.
