He lives and works in Miami, Florida, EE.UU. Leomar González González, was born Artemisa, Cuba, 1985. He studied at the School of Art Istructors of San Antonio de los Baños and the at Rubén Martínez Villena Higher Pedagogical Institute, where he graduated in 2008. He lives and works in Miami and Cuba. He comes from a humble family, working parents and peasant grandparents. His childhood took place in a very culturally diverse neighborhood, where freedom and hustle prevailed. The economic crisis of the 90s marked the course of his adolescence and he began to take refuge in drawing. Today he is a painter who has very particular resources to address the theme of interior architecture to establish it as a metaphor for the spiritual world of the human being, through techniques and codes of contemporary painting, and sometimes using unconventional materials such as: crystal, plexiglass, which allows him to develop a pictorial process inverse to that of traditional painting. The environments are in twish and the spaces sometimes border on the metaphysical and the surreal, with ranges of broken colors, brushstrokes and effects that give the work a distinctive characterization, which has earned it several awards and mentions at national events in Cuba and the invitation to exhibit at the Ninth Contemporary Cuban Art hall 2023-2024.
