I grew up in Haverstraw, NY and later moved to Florida. In Florida I began my art studies at Palm Beach Junior College and Florida Atlantic University. Wanting to be closer to the NY art scene I moved from Florida to Brooklyn, NY. I went back to school attending Brooklyn College for my B.S in Art. During this period, I worked many years as a framer and decided I wanted to teach art. I moved to New Jersey and finished my formal education at Kean University. Where I received my Masters in Art in Education and later became a Distinguished Alumni.
