Ana Flávia Marú (Itumbiara, Goiás, Brazil, 1992) is an artist and urban architect. She develops works that navigate between architecture, everyday life, and fiction. She is interested in narratives that escape and challenge the hegemonic discourses of the contemporary city. Her practice employs various media, including painting, drawing, audiovisual work, as well as the appropriation of objects and existing archives. Marú participated in the Trampolim residency for young artists (Goiânia, 2018) and the Pivô Pesquisa artistic residency (São Paulo, 2022). With her video work Vagalume, she took part in the XII International Architecture Biennale of São Paulo (São Paulo, 2019). She was awarded at the 2nd Small Format Art Salon of Britânia (Britânia, 2020). Currently, she is part of the research and practice group História Natural de Goyaz (Goiânia, 2019) and is pursuing a master’s degree in the Project and City Postgraduate Program in the Department of Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Goiás.
