I am drawn to bold colors, shapes and patterns, which I incorporate into abstract compositions that reflect the changing world in which we live. Subject matter also fluctuates in terms of my travels, interactions and daily experiences. My work is generally abstract, either non-objective or figurative. The figures in the paintings are often not explicit as to gender, race, color, ethnicity, etc. Rather, my paintings encourage the viewers to make determinations for themselves as to meaning or feeling. I am not limited by my choice of materials, and the surfaces of my art are layered with acrylics and often mixed media allowing for a richness of design and composition.
