Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, Richard’s self-taught interest in art began at an early age where creative time was spent drawing anything from animals to comic book images. A more serious approach towards painting began in his high school years which were later highlighted by a graduating art award and sold out show. Following this he concentrated his efforts in wildlife and contemporary subjects as well as commission works, exhibiting in many group shows in Canada and the US.
