As a futurist and eco-artist, it’s important to me that my work starts conversations about abundance, sustainability, and Biophilia. Our ability to intentionally construct and deconstruct, what materials we use, and how it effects the world around us, will be the difference between thriving and surviving. My work is hopeful, grounded in a discovery to understand our true connection to these resources and nature. It draws upon a collective consciousness and the unlearning of practices that no longer serve us. Science and spirituality combine to create the narrative of my subjects. Inspired by feminist and environmentalism movements, I infuse these themes into my work. I create figurative and non-figurative mixed media paintings on canvas and wood. Analog collage and digital influences are explored using recycled materials, glass, spray and acrylic paint coupled with a meticulous hand-cut stencil technique, handmade paper textures and encaustic. This results in a bold motive contrasted with depth and vibrance that makes you look closer. From small collages to public art murals, my work has been shown in galleries, museums, nationwide and internationally. These works offer an optimism for our collective future by emphasizing the spiritual core of human existence, which demands attention and healing. Each piece encourages a reflective journey into these facets, acting as a catalyst to reveal hidden or unknown aspects of ourselves and our world. In this way, the artwork suggests a space where possibilities become endless, inviting viewers to consider the transformative potential of choice and intention in the future of our being.
