Mixed media artist, musician, and creative entrepreneur from the beach towns of Los Angeles, CA. I draw inspiration from colors, contours, and tones found in nature, sound, architecture, quantum physics, screens and dreams. Through my work I strive to convey the timeless beauty and infinite resilience that resonates throughout our imperfect universe - particularly at waters edge, within musical tones, and within each of us. My works employ a variety of traditional and modern materials including beach sand, water, acrylic paint, resin, gypsum, phosphorescent aerosols, and metallic inks. My canvas of choice is ¼ inch ‘cement board’ made from beach sand cement and wood pulp. I often hand-apply a layer of sand cement slurry to achieve variation and texture before applying color. Most pieces are water and weather resistant suitable for residential, commercial, and outdoor installations. A 36 x 60 inch piece weighs approximately 25 pounds, not including frame. My intent is for you to experience renewal, connection, comfort, and inspiration I sense while creating each piece. I hope you enjoy what you see and experience.
