DYNAMIC ACHEIVER #10 Painting

Born in 1951 in Detroit Michigan. Exhibiting painter for 30 years. Exhibits in Chicago, Detroit, Ann Arbor, Boston, and Philadelphia are part of my resume. I also have work in some private collections. As you'll see in my exhibition record, I took a long layoff from visual art to pursue music as a songwriter and recording artist. Since I've picked up the brush again, my work explores line and gesture as subject matter unto itself dealing with the space within, without and in between. Most recently those lines are turning very small and thickly impastoed upon the surfaces. My influences have always been the Abstract Expressionists ranging from Kline, DeKooning, Lee Krasner and Pollock to the German Expressionists, particularly Kirchner and Beckmann. Earlier influences draw from Turner, VanGogh, and Rembrandt.
