FLOAT H58"XW42"XD1.75" acrylic with resin on canvas hangs vertically or horizontally (H42"XW58"XD1.75") I never start a painting with a plan. I hug the canvas before me, bow my head in reverence and kiss it. Then I start. FLOAT is laboriously and distinctively textured. Each bump and groove spoke to me. I followed. As I intensively scraped at these layers I emulated the power and indiscriminate weathering of Mother Nature’s elements. I used my fingers, sticks, palette knives and large brushes. When I gaze into FLOAT I think of my cottage on the river where I paint. I imagine myself to be snoozing on an air mattress in water as the sunshine sparkles across the river's surface. I love the meandering peacefulness of a river. When I am there I feel like time has stopped. It is my happy place and painting it bring me joy. Thank you for considering to collect my works.
