Born in 1954, now living in Buckinghamshire, UK, my painting style has gone through three phases. The first a series of chess paintings portraying the calculated thoughts and emotions involved in chess play. Following this I devised a technique of painting hands in watercolour using its translucency in layering and colour washing to create the skin effect. In the third and most recent series I have utilized the strength of colour in acrylics to paint floating orbs, depicting the cosmic independent elements in the creation and destruction of the universe in a contrived but random design. This series is ongoing and is now being developed further. I like to think of my style as being calculated and deliberate with an underlying depth of thought behind the physical medium. I am also a successful author with nine novels to date, including the acclaimed top 100 book 'The Unfortunate Basil Albright.'
