Micheal Haran specialises in making very vivid artworks in a variety of Abstraction modalities as well as modern Surreal DreamTime paintings. He also makes some Neo Pop works predominantly around the theme of Love …. Spiritually Enthused Art with many deeper symbolisms included.…. Instagram = Michealharan01 Micheal Haran studied at The Slade School of Fine Art, UCL. He lives and works in West London. He is working predominantly in acrylics and oils on canvas as well as many types of mixed media works on papers. Micheal is involved in many exhibitions including showing 8x paintings at The Florence Biennale, Italy in October 2023. Micheal also had a large solo show where he exhibited 50 artworks at 54 The Gallery, Shepherd Market in Mayfair, London in July 2024. His work in held in many private collections internationally. Micheal is very aesthetically informed by Post-Impressionism, biomorphic sculpture, Dadaism, Surrealism, and Abstract Expressionism. He draws inspiration from many of the Beat movement writers, and a plethora of musical genres. Many of the early Abstract Expressionist artists such as Cy Twombly,Lee Krasner, Helen Frankenthaler, Clyfford Still and Mark Rothko are often referenced in his works and help contribute towards his artistic thinking. Micheal lived in Iquitos, in the Peruvian Amazon, for two and a half years and conceptually, he is continuously inspired by his deeply transformative experiences with shamanism.This passion has led him to dedicate himself to both producing art and also to raising funds for the protection of the Amazon and other ecological biomes.
