DUGA was born in Brussels in 1963. A child, Duga is attracted to pictorial art. Tirelessly, he draws and paints, using whatever means at hand to pass him achieve his ends. At the end of high school, he hesitates between medicine and Fine Arts. He gets the prize winner in chemistry, physics and biology of several schools in Brussels, and encouraged by his teachers, he began studying medicine at the university. His pocket medical degree, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts while specializing in Medical Imaging. Christian DUGARDEYN is an artist of emotion and free expression. However, he followed an academic career (Academy of Fine Arts, Brussels), which served as a basis. He gives vent to his emotions through various techniques, drawing, painting and sculpture remains his favorite mediums. His expression is spontaneous, energetic, vital. Duga is constantly questioning the human being, for endless work because he knows that his questions will remain forever unanswered. It is man who is interested, his inner life, sufferings, joys, joys, sorrows, his inconsistencies, his fears, his loneliness, his demons, his social life, ... It is in constant search, ready to explore every path, every branch of this world, looking for the smallest element that can help to try to understand a little more human. Life is not a straight line but a world to discover, a lost line, tortuous, multidirectional, energetic, curious, inexhaustible. His influences are many. Picasso, Basquiat, Combas, the group Cobrz and street art, it is the deformation of the characters that interest while keeping a certain anatomical fidelity and gestures. The writings and graffiti street art of interest by the fluidity and speed of action as well as the explosion of colors. Everything is possible. This he tries to recreate in his work: a fluid gesture, fast, deforming while keeping a certain gesture. It raises more questioning by distorting the truth to best approach it. insta: duga_art
