Joy Painting

My art comes from an obsession to create, it's something I can’t ignore. I think and feel deeply and look for honesty in both the messy and beautiful parts of life. Each piece is a process of breaking and healing, pushing through doubts and finding connection. My work is never the same twice; it's about capturing moments, emotions and the tension between uncertainty and release. I don’t believe in following someone else’s idea of what you should be! For me, art is about embracing the imperfect, letting go of expectations and being true to yourself. As a mixed media artist I'm fascinated by the interactions between textures and materials and I love to experiment with various media and techniques. Abstraction is fundamental to my work and is a visual tool that I employ to varying degrees to enable me to communicate or emphasise perceptual patterns and the idealogical constructs that form the foundations of my life and art.
