Emy-Rose is a French abstract artist whose work is collected internationally. Born in November 1988, she lives and works in Lyon, France. She has cultivated her artistic voice through years of personal exploration, experimentation, and emotional inquiry. Painting has been a vital part of her life since the age of nine, when a simple gift, a painting set, ignited a lifelong creative journey. Over time, she explored traditional techniques including oil, acrylic, watercolor, and charcoal before embracing abstraction as her true language. A self-taught artist in her painting practice, yet intellectually grounded in the human sciences. She studied social sciences with a focus on sociology and psychology at the University of London and Université Lumière Lyon II. Her art is both an emotional exploration and an introspective look at the human condition. This duality: instinct and intellect, defines her practice. Through her work, she builds a dialogue between aesthetic sensitivity and psychological depth, translating invisible experiences, memory, transformation, silence, into color, form, and gesture. Her compositions invite the viewer to pause, reflect, and connect inwardly. Influenced by artists such as Helen Frankenthaler and Joan Mitchell, Emy-Rose draws inspiration from the expressive power of color and spontaneous gesture. Her paintings have been exhibited in various international settings, including a notable showcase in Monaco, where her emotionally resonant style received acclaim. Today, she continues to explore the space where emotion, memory, and intuition guide the creative act, crafting each piece as a visual poem, open to the viewer’s gaze and interpretation.
