Eduardo Dueñas Velasco Multidisciplinary Visual Artist Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco (1989), Eduardo Dueñas develops his artistic practice across various disciplines, including painting, sculpture, installation, bioart, set design, and videomapping. His work is deeply influenced by Russian Constructivism—a visual and architectural movement that emerged in 1914—and Concrete Art, a strand of geometric abstraction developed during the 1930s. Dueñas unfolds an aesthetic of emotional restraint, with compositions that emphasize form, texture, and repetition as frameworks for visual thought. His installations, sculpture and two-dimensional works often incorporate architectural and landscape codes, addressing themes such as identity, the erosion of time, and the tension between the artificial and the organic. Through a critical yet serene gaze, his work invites quiet contemplation, offering the viewer an immersive experience of aesthetic and symbolic introspection. With a coherent and refined vision, Eduardo Dueñas positions himself as a creator whose practice transcends the ornamental, opening spaces for reflection through a sober, powerful, and profoundly contemporary aesthetic.
