PEACE FOREVER Painting

ART WORK AND CONCEPT OF ARTIST KIM BYUNG JIN ART WORK A motive that I got assisted during the creation of another work of mine, Holocaust, originated in the storytelling ‘Stop the War’ that connects the scene of the massacre caused by war and the brutality of war. I saw a photograph of a woman holding a picket at a protest appealing to humanity about the extreme situation of the nation under the ‘Hamas War’ between Israel and Pakistan. It was written as ‘Stop Killing,’ and as many people have seen, this scene where a woman with a picket protests crying with tears showed ‘beautiful humanity.’ For 74 years after World War II, it may seem that people are living peacefully worldwide without major wars, but there are still many people sacrificed and innocently murdered in unsolved conflict zones, and human rights are being violated. With an initiative effort of the community to prevent these fights, it could find the signs of war and suppress the fight with a common force. Except for minor civil wars, we are living a peaceful life without major wars like World War II. Even now, in some places, there are underprivileged people sadly despaired, and it is possible that they are living painfully and holding their breath day by day in dreadful fear of the danger of genocide. A sudden outbreak of war in the fall of 1939 made people face the moment of fear to give up everything and scream. The genocide harmed human dignity and countless people suffered by the force of totalitarianism, and amid the dire circumstances, earnest pray to survive would have been the only hope. Now that we all have such great lives in peace, we might be blinded from the post war history, but when we look at the history of war, no one knows whether it will be a tragic event we may face that will repeat itself one day. For as long as mankind exists on Earth, there will occur wars by madmen one day again as justified once more. Through my work, I will cry for peace without war through ink and water painting with the theme of ‘no more war needed' The theme of works in the exhibition will be constant and it is about “The epic of life and death in war” in series. As the title of exhibition works, WW2 (World War II 1939-1945), the content of the works is unified and the major material is ink. After working with various expression techniques on an engraving paper, the surface was finished with Paraffin and glued on Canvas to complete all works.
