Chris Frappier | Artist and Record-Breaking Weightlifter Art and strength come alive through Chris Frappier’s unique creative journey. Based in Fergus, Ontario, Chris channels his passion for physical challenges and creative expression into each piece. His work spans stone and wood sculptures to vibrant alcohol ink and acrylic paintings, celebrating life’s victories—both in art and strength. With 13 IAWA world records, including a 500-pound Dinnie Deadlift and trap-bar deadlift at age 59 in 2024, Chris brings the same grit to his art as he does to the lifting platform. Formerly a marathon runner with 13 marathons completed, including Boston, he continues to push limits in both arenas. Chris is the event organizer for Canada’s only all-round weightlifting competition sanctioned by the USAWA (United States All-Round Weightlifting Association) and affiliated with the global body, the IAWA (International All-Round Weightlifting Association). Monies earned through his art sales help fund this yearly event, giving Canadian athletes opportunities to compete on the world stage in all-round weightlifting. After decades in the global printing and packaging industry, Chris left his role as a graphics manager to fully pursue his artistic vision. Each piece is a celebration of resilience, strength, and imagination—inviting viewers to explore the powerful unity of body and mind. Lift Big. Break Records. Make History!
