“My paintings represent the echo of the voice of the world that escapes time and space thanks to sharing. They come from voice messages received through instant messaging applications, such as Whatsapp and Messenger, collected as a result of calls to action launched on the web. My goal is to make people reflect on the importance of their own experience as a result of a unique, unrepeatable and inimitable existence, therefore a precious one, and if it is for one it must necessarily be so for another; for all others. A testimony belongs to the private space of the person who, choosing to respond to this call, opens up of their own free will to the meeting, to the possibility of discovering other realities beyond the surface, the known, prejudices and discrimination. It is an act of acceptance, generosity and immense trust in one's neighbour, which is also carried out in a complex context such as social networks, today often home to messages aimed at fomenting vile urges. In the stories there is no need to show but to be, and when this attitude is combined with a practical action, it becomes a gesture serving continuity and the future, both people and the world, virtual and concrete”. Path: Giada Bianchi first worked as an interior designer and subsequently as a journalist in the social network sector; both occupations allowed her to notice and observe the subtle relationships that exist between people in a given space, whether physical or virtual, and how it is increasingly difficult to convey oneself, even though we are immersed in the era of communication and contacts. Following this, the need arose to create a place where each individual could manifest themselves, not for or despite others but in their presence, without fear of being judged. The chosen dimensions through which to operate were the off and online realities, where there was the possibility of expanding beyond circumstances and, not least, where art played the role of the field on which the understanding can be built. After several attempts and a lot of experimentation, in 2015 Giada began the project #ritrattinarrativi based on personal experiences as a reflection of identity, giving rise to events disclosed on the web to generate a practical action of sharing: the calls to action. The audio tracks received were later transformed into pictorial sketches, and the final work of art became a symbol of meeting, acceptance, presence and hospitality.
