Snake Eagle Painting

I am an amateur artist, recently retired, having just restarted my art in lockdown. I was born in London, and have spent all of my life here. I studied art at school, but my career path took me to the retail world, which hasn't allowed me much time over the years to pursue other interests. Lockdown allowed me a 'dress rehearsal' for retirement, and a great opportunity to restart my painting. Being mainly self taught, and having only ever previously worked in watercolour many years ago, I have just recently started working in oils. I love the ability with oil paint to be able to rethink a piece as I am working, change a little light here or colour there. I love to paint detail, and the challenge to discover new technique. I enjoy painting landscapes and animals, mainly from photographs I have taken myself on my many travels. You may also see the odd still life in there, and possibly anything else as I continue my artistic journey.
