My work is a meditation on the intersection of the natural and the divine. Rooted in physical encounters with everyday objects and spaces, and equally informed by visionary, internal experiences, my practice explores the tension and harmony between the seen and the unseen. I am drawn to the transient beauty of daily life—its people, objects, and moments—as well as the eternal essence of the divine that resides within all living things. Through painting, small sculpture, and installation, I seek to express the interconnectedness of these realms and the emotional resonance they hold. While I identify primarily as a painter, I embrace the term expansively. I work with acrylics and household paints to create large, lyrical landscapes and more intimate pieces that evoke the sensation of being both grounded in the physical world and attuned to something beyond it. My paintings aim to capture states of flux—moments suspended between transition and stillness, between clarity and ambiguity. I intentionally blur boundaries between forms and hues, softening delineations to create a fluid, painterly rhythm that oscillates between realism and abstraction. Colour plays a central role in my work. I use natural palettes that are often displaced or intensified to heighten emotional and symbolic resonance. Light—its movement, reflection, and transience—is a recurring motif, offering both visual drama and metaphysical depth. It becomes a metaphor for the liminal space between physical perception and poetic intuition. I strive not to depict nature as it appears, but to reveal its mystery—its underlying charge and shifting presence. My practice is influenced by a range of art movements, including Symbolism, Fauvism, Abstract Expressionism, and Impressionism. Like the Symbolists, I am drawn to the ineffable, to emotional and spiritual suggestion. From the Fauves and Bonnard, I take inspiration in colour's expressive power, and from the Impressionists, a reverence for the fleeting nature of light and time. These influences merge with my own internal language to form a visual expression that is intuitive, layered, and emotionally charged. Ultimately, my work is an ongoing search for connection—for a visual vocabulary that bridges the material and immaterial, the momentary and the eternal. Each piece is a quiet offering: an exploration of what it means to feel deeply, to exist between worlds, and to translate the poetry of experience into form.
