"Transition, movement, suspended particles, diluting mists, precariously balanced arcs, overlapping layers, opaque and pierced realities, rarefied meanings, volcanic exhalations of a foretold, violent, final rupture. A destiny of passage, tenuous, fragile and beautiful. Footprints, scars, traces and indelible embraces." This is how my wife expressed herself when I asked her to write my biography. Not quite what I had imagined when I urged her to say something about me. In fact, I was even a little shocked. I was thinking that perhaps it would be important to present references here about my personal journey that could validate it in terms of artistic training, professional recognition or commercial success. No, I will not be able to apply such labels to my work. I know full well that my paintings are what they are only because I insist on creating them by taking full responsibility for their genesis. No, I do not intend to convey the image of the visionary, self-sufficient artist. That would be total nonsense. My isolation, which is often necessary, is also permeated by a great desire to make connections. Biographical references: Italian-Brazilian, self-taught, born in 1963 in a working-class neighborhood in the city of Jundiaí, grandson of Italian immigrants, since 2006 has lived and worked in Umbria, central Italy.
