Specialising in portraiture, he comes from a family of noted artists including Dordogne based Tom Quinn whose work was celebrated at the prestigious Petley's gallery of Mayfair in 2011. Inspired by the works of Lucien Freud, Tai Shan Shierenberg and Jonathan Yeo, James' expressive paintings capture bold likenesses in both oil and acrylic and are establishing him as "one to watch" in the world of figurative art.
