The old Dutch masters are the source of inspiration for the painting
After a visit to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, I became inspired by the 17th century clothing the beautiful lace collars and the velvet jackets with the special closures.
fantastically displayed on the canvas by Rembrand, Vermeer etc.
When I returned home, I decided to also try to paint something in the same trend.
Well this has become it, I call it,
"The Butler"
I hope you like it ?

Painted on portret linen.
Black boxframe included.

Fred Hanson born 1952: Vlaardingen (The Netherlands) Fred Hanson combines the precision of photorealism with the versatility of acrylic, and emerges from a compelling relationship with camera and canvas. He painstakingly applies slow-drying paint to portrait linens and creates compositions that interweave his photography with the strokes of his brush. Hanson's works capture the essence of everyday life, evoke admiration and sentiment and immortalize the ephemeral beauty of the everyday.
