Jagoda Malinowska is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. In her artistic activities, she refers to traditional artistic values, in which the workshop is as important as the concept. It refers to realistic representations, modeling on the 19th and 20th century masters. When creating images, photography is often used, but it does not reproduce the digital record, it is used as a kind of a modern notebook, which allows collecting a large amount of visual information in a short time. In her work, she undertakes pro-ecological themes and sociological themes that are a visual story about the status of man in the modern world. The use of figurative art emphasizes the desire to explore the experiences of an individual, focusing on the individual sensory experience of reality. In addition to traditional workshop techniques, the artist also deals with digital graphics, which she also uses in seemingly academic painting representations. Currently, she is working on the cycle in a completely different convention, departing from realism towards surreal images showing an ultra-modern world devoid of logical rules, filled with subconscious fears for further existence.
