PAK Rachel Alice K , an artist shaped by the rhythm of two worlds — born in the vibrant heart of Kinshasa, and nurtured in the luminous corridors of Paris. My artistic journey led me to London, where I immersed myself in Combined Fine Art and Art History, exploring the interconnected landscapes of painting, sculpture, architecture, photography, and creative expression. Artist Narrative My photographic practice is an ongoing visual poem — a celebration of inheritance, identity, and Ubuntu. I call it An Artistic Odyssey through Diversity, Heritage as a Ubuntu. At the core of this work lies a tribute to hand-me-downs — not as relics of necessity, but as legacies of love. In each portrait, women are cloaked in colour and memory; their garments are not mere fabrics but vessels of intergenerational story. The textures, prints, and silhouettes they wear are rich with meaning — woven with threads that stretch from the fast-paced metropolises of the West to the starlit silence of rural Africa. These are not second-hand clothes — they are first-class inheritances. From Tunnel Chanel jackets to BeVian West-inWood dresses and YV-St-Low-rent suits, each ensemble speaks of a family bond that transcends borders. These outfits, once worn in offices and soirées abroad, now adorn women in cassava fields and open-air markets. A Louise Wuitton handbag swings beneath the sun, its elegance deepened by the red earth it travels. This is fashion reimagined — couture with community, luxury with soul. Each portrait is a quiet tribute to a powerful truth: wealth is not only what we accumulate, but what we pass on. The act of gifting a beloved garment becomes a cultural ritual — a whisper across oceans that says, you are seen, you are worthy, you are loved. To me, there is nothing more graceful than a Fundy bag carried with pride through a village market, or a pair of Churche’s shoes making polished impressions in African soil. These images frame dignity, resilience, and beauty — not as abstract ideals, but as everyday realities. Every work is digitally composed and meticulously crafted, available framed in acrylic or sent in a protective tube. Regardless of format, the story it carries arrives intact — a piece of heritage ready to live as a new in your space. This is my vision of luxury: grounded, generous, and gloriously alive.
