About Vincent Rijs: Photographer, located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands A short bio: In 2009 he ended his function at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie of Art and began his study Masters Photography at the Image Lab Academy, Amsterdam, where he graduated with praise in 2012. In 2010 he settled as an autonomous photographer. The exhibition at Art Gallery CNCPT13 is his third solo exhibition in that intervening period. There is portfolio of his work included in Vogue Italia, likewise featured in the gallery. He is enjoying in a strongly growing interest in his work. What do others say (Marcel Sluiman, gallery owner) The portrait work of Vincent is characterized by the particular way of light, colors and the beautiful styling of models. The photos almost look like a work of Vermeer, Carravagio or Rembrandt and other master painters of light. But the work of Vincent has a certain surealism. There cleary is a story behind the scene, nothing is just a portrait, something is going on... Amsterdam,2013 Exhibiting their photographic work in the Arti Gallery, Rokin 114 Amsterdam. Friday, April 28 15.00-22.00 Saturday and Sunday, April 30th, 12: 00-18.00 pm. Opening Friday, April 28th 18:00 Vincent Rijs BE-MIRAGE Reflection and mirroring are the motives in the photographic work of Vincent Rijs. Hushed images with a warm colour palette placed in a melancholy frame, sometimes with a hint of surrealism. He finds his inspiration in the dramatic chiaroscuro of the painters of the Golden Age, Caravaggio, Rembrandt. His compositions seem carefully orchestrated, the characters in the picture apparently acting in their scenes, but it is not. The choreography arises quite spontaneously. The beautiful, mystical atmosphere it evokes is somewhat uncertain with a musing, sometimes wistful longing ... .. there we enter an inner world that is also recognized again in a strange way? more information: social networks: Linked In: Behance network: Twitter: Facebook: .rijs video opening exhibition "Behind the Mirror" : http://vimeo.com/74111835
