As a lifelong art student and painter, Wayne studied a wide range of artists, finding inspiration from classical renaissance masters to today's animators and illustrators. These influences are evident in his use of pop culture icons against classical landscapes. Many of his works have been featured in numerous galleries and publications. Today, Wayne continues to produce works from his studio in Echo Park, Los Angeles for numerous galleries and collectors around the world. My struggles with self, family and country are the center of my work, captured through racial, commercial and political lenses. I reimagine familiar images of everyday life in an unnatural way to play with people’s expectations.
