Andreas Sell's primary residences are in Berlin, Sykaminea (Lesvos, Greece) and Kulfal (Turkey). His artistic work manifests itself in artist's books, which he publishes with Revolver Books, Bom Dia Books and in his own editions. As well as in installations, which he has shown at Platform China Contemporary Art Institute - Beijing, Karlin Studios - Prague, USF Verftet - Bergen, Haus der Kunst - Munich, House of Cyprus - Athens, Japanese Cultural Institute - Cologne, Kunstverein Kristiansand in Norway and Brooklyn Lyceum - New York, among others. He has received several scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Stiftung Kunstfonds Bonn. He has also received grants from the Pollock Krasser Foundation and the Berlin Senate. He has taken part in artist residencies organised by A.I.R. Futura - Prague, USF Verftet - Bergen and The Artist Network - Beijing. In 2022 he organised the Hermitage Sykaminea - Gathering at AiR Onassis and Ergo Collective in Athens.
