Ruslan Luchko is an artist specializing in glasswork, particularly in blown glass, rooted in the traditions of Lviv's glass art. His work bridges historical craftsmanship with contemporary experimentation, aiming to preserve and innovate the practice of blown glass in modern art. His professional debut, the 2019 solo exhibition Creation of a Free Human at LNAM, integrated blown glass, painting, and multimedia to explore determinism and free will. A laureate of the Professor A. Bokotei Prize for emerging glass artists, Ruslan has since participated in over 50 international projects and five solo exhibitions, showcasing his mastery in artistic glass and interdisciplinary approaches. Currently, as a blown glass master at the Lviv National Academy of Arts and a creative postgraduate student, Ruslan focuses on Interpreting the Mythology of the Carpathians through Contemporary Image-Making. His ongoing project, 9 Days Under the Wing with a Black Hen's Egg, delves into mythology through experimental art practices, reinforcing his commitment to innovation in the glass medium. Ruslan's art engages a diverse audience, blending beauty and critical reflection on sociopolitical issues, including the condemnation of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
