Christa Riemann was born in Düsseldorf and studied painting and graphics at the Free Academy of Rhine-Ruhr. Her work is represented in many galleries, solo and group exhibitions. In her mostly large-format works, she shows insights into the nature of animals and impressions of nature. Her pictures are complex and constructed with an exciting dramaturgy. If you previously doubted that animals have a personality, their work will prove you wrong. It shows the individual as a creature with a soul and thus sets a clear counterpoint to the widespread social understanding of animals as livestock. Emotional animal portraits and colorfully nuanced works represent her extensive collection of images. The pictures by the painter Christa Riemann were created out of a respectful love for animals, coupled with a lot of curiosity about their mysterious personality and the individual.
