Pankaj Kumar Singh

I was born in a farmer family and I cherish the memories of growing up in the lush green nature of my village. I completed my 12th standard education in the village itself. During my education, I was more interested in art and geography, due to which I did my Bachelors and Masters in Fine Arts from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India in 2013. After completing my masters, I went to Baroda, Gujarat to live and did painting for two years. Subsequently, I came to Delhi and did art work continuously. In the last 10 years, I have exhibited my art at many places in India on a collective and on an individual level.
When I first started working as an independent artist while doing my Masters, I was puzzled about the subject of my paintings. However, while staying in Baroda, I had the opportunity to meet and talk to artist Mr. K.J. Subramanian. After talking to him, I understood very well that the journey of an artist is a journey of self-discovery. In order to understand myself, I first had to see what made me feel the most? I discovered solace and inspiration from natural things; I was drawn towards nature and its energy.
