The “Birds” (Uccelli) is a central theme. As in many artworks, the birds and the notion of flight represent an intuitive and natural dynamic dimension of movement.
Therefore "Birds" collection is not concentrated on the physical attributes of the bird, but instead on its movement. The wings are idealized and the feathers are represented by colors, the head and beak are reduced more and more to a slender dynamic concept. Alessandro was born in Venice in 1969, the city where he currently lives and works. In 1996 he graduated in Political Science from Padova University. Later he studied history at Venice University. He also created art and paintings using unique and non - traditional techniques, and some of his works were used in specialized publications. His vision is to advance the art of glass by bringing together various artists, each with their own technical contribution, skill, and years of experience to be able to create a wide range of styles, with the highest degree of workmanship. Unlike the traditional system in Murano where secrecy of techniques and methods of design were highly guarded, Alessandro believes that the sharing of knowledge and techniques will only further help in the continued recognition and advancement of glass as an art medium.
In 2006 he was named among 50 Distinguished Contemporary Artists in Glass who represented the ...
