Gregory Grim

Born in Iowa. Raised in Minnesota. Always admired Rembrandt drawings and Soutine landscapes. Never traveled much further than La Crosse.

B.A. degree/ Studio Arts/University of Minnesota/Minneapolis. Studied under artists from the New York abstract expressionist school (1940's-50's): Peter Busa( best man at Jackson Pollack's wedding) Herman Somberg, Raymond Hendler(buddy of Franz Kline), George Morrison, and Malcom Myers(denizens of Provincetown and Martha's Vinyard in summer time).
