Asya Uglova

I am a artist, illustrator and art teacher. I also study psychology, which gives me greater depth in exploring the influence of colour, imagery and composition in painting. It also gives rise to new themes in art through understanding of self and others. I currently live in Krasnodar and own a studio, where I work on my artistic projects.
I paint intuitively without planning what the finished piece will look like. I let the painting take over and guide me through the whole process that evolves from my perception of colour, my feelings and my mood. Realizing a game of different aesthetic vibrations, my creative approach is based on the interplay between real and abstract, decorative and picturesque.
This is the basis on which I try to build my own territory in art. My compositions emerge from the chaos of naive pure colours, which then create a harmonious structure of nuances and organize the spatial unity.
